It's exactly a month before Christmas. December 1, Sunday is the first Sunday of Advent. I may be very busy in the next few weeks so in case I don't get to write too often, Merry Christmas web visitors!

I thought it fitting to include here something written by Fr. Horacio de la Costa, S.J. I found it printed with A Lauds Christmas music cassette tape that I bought. So if you're not yet done with your Christmas shopping, you may want to give away this tape as it would make a great present.

The first time I heard about the Laoag Air incident was on my way to work. That's the beauty of AM radio - you hear about things when they happen. News of the crash hit the papers the next morning but the thought of how really fleeting life can be hit me 24 hours earlier. [more]

Adi had no class today so swimming this afternoon was included in his schedule . The plan was for Mang Nonoy (Adi's swimming buddy) to come to the house at 4pm so Adi could swim for an hour. We chose an afternoon sked since the mornings may be quite cold. [more]

The mornings and nights have gotten cooler recently - which means it's time to panic if you haven't started your Christmas shopping. If you're from the Philippines, chances are you now need a blanket when you go to sleep.
