Friends and Food at Cafe Mischka

Last Thursday night, by some stroke of good luck, my friend, Myna managed to get all six of us high school friends together for dinner. It has been quite some time since our group (which we called the G.A.N.G before, as in Great Adventurous Nutty Girls) got together so easily. It really is quite difficult to get everyone in one place, at the same time, what with our families and careers.

We had dinner at Café Mischka, a relatively new place which just opened mid this year. It's located at...

The Ground Floor of Alfredo's Building
Tomas Morato cor. Dr. Lazcano St.,
Quezon City, Philippines
Tel No. 373-06-63
Open from about 11am to 10:30pm daily
(except Sundays when they close at 9pm)

The food was quite good and reasonably priced. Each order would, on the average, range in price from P90 to a little less than P200. Their menu is not that extensive. It's mostly appetizers, soups, salads, pasta and baked rice. We tried the Baked Rice with Seafood and it was very tasty and the texture was just right. The Amatriciana was also good. So was the Mischka pizza (with pita bread for its crust).

When you come to this place though, you must have dessert. You can make your own ice cream concoction, choosing from different ice cream flavors by the scoop, and from several possible toppings at P7 per topping.

It's a place to bring the whole family, even members with special dietary needs. They have low-calorie, low-fat special meals and desserts. They also do not serve alcoholic drinks by the way.

Café Mischka accommodates about 60 people and you can book it for your small functions and parties. Visit the place now. As for us, we'll be back.
