HappySlip In Manila

Christine Gambito, popularly known as HappySlip, arrived in Manila yesterday afternoon. (Oops, it was Thursday morning.)

And naturally, before even unpacking her bags in a hotel in Manila, she uploads a video of her first day in Manila. (Whoa... 500 comments... and rising!)

You'll see a different side of HappySlip. Still happy, yet more emotional. Things about family, coming home, missing home, parents... When she made a video before about coming home, I thought she was referring to a trip to the Philippines.

Who would've thought back then that today would become a reality?

I hope that Christine's upcoming videos will inspire more Filipinos to visit more places in the Philippines.

UPDATE: There's a blogger meet-and-greet with HappySlip on Thursday, Feb 7, from 11am to 3pm, at Mag:net Cafe, Bonifacio High Street. If you're interested, please register. This is most likely the Official Yehey! HappySlip Meet 'n Greet announcement. I wonder if this is separate from the event that Anton blogged about.

Jan 29, 2008: Remember the video I mentioned earlier? The one with the song about coming home? Here's HappySlip's video in the Bohol Bee Farm and also at Alegre Guitars in Cebu: Peppermint and Josh Verdes. In the second segment of the video, you'll catch a snippet of Josh playing a slightly modified version of "Home" on a P20,000 guitar.
