YouTube Quick CaptureHave you tried YouTube's quick capture option? Don't be surprised if this happens to you... Quick capture allows you to instantly make a video using your computer's webcam. There's no need to download from your digicam cam to your hard disk, convert the video, and then upload it to you YouTube. You simply record and immediately after recording, the video gets "saved" in YouTube. It's great, except for this one thing... It takes a while before that webcam video appears in your site. Sometimes, you won't even know it's there, because there is no clue that tells you something is being processed. In the case of file uploads, you will see the status: whether it's still being processed, or if there was an error, or if the video is already live. In the case of QuickCapture, however, you'll just need to trust YouTube. Check back after half an hour to see if your quick video is finally live. So please resist the urge to quick capture test after video test, because most likely ALL those tests will soon appear in your YT channel. :-) Previous Entry Secondthoughts Index Next Entry
