Asus Eee Update Problem Solved

I tried to access Full Desktop Mode on the Asus Eee PC, but then...

Each time I did the Ctrl+Alt+T (to open a Terminal Window), sudo bash, and then apt-get update command, the Asus Eee would attempt to connect to the Asus update site.

And attempt once again. And do so for about 5 minutes before giving up.

Thanks to the various comments in MyAsusEee.com, however, I avoided the sudo bash command and simply did sudo apt-get update.

Whaddaya know? It worked! Thank you, Angelo!
