RX93.1 Interviews Pinoy Podcaster

It's great to hear that one of the longest-running Pinoy podcast shows is finally being noticed by the offline world.

Pinoy podcaster "Manong Guard" of the Basang Sisiw Show will be interviewed on Monster Radio RX93.1 at 9:00 (gmt+8) tonight.

That makes Jay Estaris (aka Manong Guard) the first Filipino podcaster interviewed on radio because of his Live Dot PH Podcast. And yes, that makes Monster Radio RX93.1 the first local radio station to take more than just a little internet in Pinoy podcasters.

Formerly known as Live Dot PH, or even as The Manong Guard Show, the Basang Sisiw Show is hosted by two Filipinos: Manong Guard in the Philippines and Kid Flash X in New York. They podcast about topics ranging from Pinoy food to Pinoy peeves.

I've always been wondering why print articles on Philippine podcasting don't mention their podcast, so tonight's radio interview is a refreshing development. I don't usually listen to FM radio, but because of podcasting, I will.

Imagine that: podcasting helps increase radio listenership. :-)
