Videoblogging and Main Stream Media

One of the researchers of a local television network is interested in one of our videoblog videos.

Nothing definite, though. It was a researcher's query about whether they may show the video.

I had to text them to find out exactly where they were planning to show it. That's when I found out it was a local TV station that was interested.

No, there was no offer of compensation, but they said they are willing to attribute the video to Viloria.com (and also display the URL at the bottom of the screen while the video plays).

I wonder if they'll be able to use the video given its low resolution (320x240), though.

To videobloggers out there, you'll never know when a local TV network will get in touch with you regarding your video. If you're using a Canon IXUS 30 to capture a video for your vlog or vblog, use the 640x480 settings to increase the chance that it will look decent on the larger television screen.

And check out IzzyVideo.com for tips on how to take better-looking videos.
