Podcasting and Radio Stations

I wish radio stations would podcast. I enjoy Jimmy Gil Live (DZBB)... if ever I catch him at his timeslot. If only he had a podcast, I'd be able to listen to all his shows. Well, there's a radio station that will get ALL of its programming from podcasts.

KYOURadio "is the first radio station in the world to get all of its programming from podcasts. Everyday we'll feature new, innovative and cutting edge programs produced by people like you. Your original thoughts and sounds will be broadcast in San Francisco on the revolutionary 1550 KYCY-AM and streamed worldwide..." (found out about this via Wired News: Podcasting Killed the Radio Star)

The nice part about this is the station will take care of the music licensing fees. That should help liven up all these "pod safe music only" podcasts.

I hope the local AM radio stations will try this. Pinoys love to talk so if they can record their voices via cellphone and become an instant DJ or commentarista, this will prove popular.
