Is Something The Matter With Email?

Have you noticed something about email lately? It's not getting delivered. And no error message alerts you to this fact.

I've been emailing some friends who normally respond within a few days. Recently, however, they don't write back. When I ask them about it, they say they haven't seen my email at all.

Other times, they're the ones who say they've emailed me, but when I check my inbox, there's no message from them.

And worse of all, there's no bounced error message. It's as if the messages entered some kind of email blackhole.

I wonder if the day is coming when email will be so unreliable, people will put up their own blogs with comments switched on. Then again, with spam comment flooding some web sites, people will probably use cell phones to communicate more often, as they turn their backs on email.

We'll see.

Anyway, for my friends who wonder why I haven't written back, I actually have. The email blackhole must've swallowed it.
