Rice Terraces in Ifugao, Philippines

The famed rice terraces of the Philippines are NOT in Benguet.

An Ifugao reacted to the Philippine Tourism commercial featuring the Ifugao Rice Terraces, but also showing the "I Heart Benguet" tagline.

Robert Gardner wrote about the Batad Rice Terraces, and it is heartwarming to find someone so Filipino online.

I can understand why Ifugaos are proud of their rice terraces. Like the Egyptian pyramids, these stairways to heaven were made by people, not aliens.
