Philippines Cybercrime Bill to Cover Cell Phones
The "Cybercrime Prevention Act" will cover computers, computer networks, and mobile devices.
You'll find more details at the Computer Crime Research Center (link via Zone-H.org)
The proposed bill will have anti-spam measures that cover even cellphones (hooray!), as well as a provision for "corporate liability."
Hmmm... if you're a CEO and someone commits a cybercrime via your computer network because of your lack of supervision, then you can be held liable. I wonder how much time a CEO can spend "supervising." Then again, no challenge is too great for CEOs.
