Children's Library Family Festival

The Children’s Library invites you and your whole family to a whole day of fun and learning as we bring you the Children’s Library Family Festival to be held on December 4, 2004 at the Robinsons Galleria Fountain Area.

The Festival, which will be open to the public from 10 am to 8 pm, will be highlighted by the Inter-School Storytelling Grand Final Showdown from 2 to 4 pm. Ten grades 3 and 4 students from various private and public schools will regale you with their storytelling skills as they compete for the “Storyteller of the Year” title.

Other activities include a lap reading seminar for parents and children plus fun and games by Summit Media from 11 am to 12 nn, Great Explorations in Science and Math with St. Augustine International School from 12:30 to 1:30 pm, Fun and learning with Ronald McDonald from 4:30 to 5 pm and a reading diagnostic session with Eduquest from 5 to 6 pm.

A Children’s Library Reading Nook, complete with storybooks and bean bags will also be set-up to encourage young kids to sit down and enjoy reading. For parents who wish to test their kids’ reading ability, just feel free to bring them to the Eduquest Reading Village. And for momies who wish to have a new look for the holiday, Avon Cosmetics has a make-over corner just for you, ALL ACTIVITIES ARE OPEN TO THE PUBLIC AND ARE FREE OF CHARGE. So mark your calendars now and learn a thing or two or even bring home prizes!

The Children’s Library is a FREE access multi-media resource center for children ages 6 to 12 years old. The library aims to contribute to the transformation of the growing child into a socially responsible person of the new millennium by seeding good values, enhancing the child’s natural creativity and by stimulating and supporting the child’s thirst for knowledge.

The library offers a wide range of reference books, story books, comics, audio books, videos and CD ROMs from Filipino and international publishers along with the facilities necessary for the children to enjoy them. Internet use and educational computer games are also available.

The Children’s Libraries are located at the 3rd Level, Robinsons Place Novaliches and 4th Level Robinsons Place Imus. The Children’s Library Corners are located at the San Juan Municipal Library, Pinaglabanan Shrine, San Juan and at the Pasig City Library- RLC, Pasig Elementary School Comp., Caruncho Ave., Pasig City.
