Super Typhoon Yoyong

Classes in all levels in Metro Manila have been suspended, because Super Typhoon Yoyong is coming. It has started raining in Quezon City after hours of ominous, windless silence.

Along C5, billboard flexible advertisements were being rolled down as early as last night. Overseas calls from concerned relatives have been coming in. Don't worry, we're still okay here in Metro Manila.

I wish I could say the same for other parts of Luzon which were devastated by the recent tropical depression "Winnie". Let's all pray for their safety, moreso now that this super typhoon is coming closer.

In the meantime, monitor the local AM radio or try the Philippine Daily Inquirer web site. It may seem a bit sluggish, but that's probably due to higher amount of visitor traffic they're getting.

Here's a hopefully "faster" link to the Philippine Daily Inquirer:

You can also view the webcam at EDSA corner Ortigas Avenue.
