Help Build More Guimaras Libraries: Give Librarian Starter Kits

My UPMBA batchmate, Anna Rojas, has been involved in a book drive for the setting up of a library at the Sta. Teresa National High School (STNHS) in Guimaras. She started a book drive in February 2007 and December 2007 saw the inauguration of a new library at STNHS through the help of numerous people who donated books.

Her advocacy and commitment to building more libraries continue. In May 2007, Anna, together with Mrs. Lourdes T. David, Director of the Ateneo de Manila Rizal Library, were slated to hold a library training workshop in Guimaras for more than 17 high schools. In connection with this project, Anna sent e-mail asking for help to provide Librarian Starter Kits to allow each school to start their libraries. Here are the items that are included in the Starter Kits (these are for several libraries, I believe):

1,000 pieces library borrower cards (ready-made cards available in bookstores)
3,000 pieces 3 x 5 index cards
40 bottles of Elmer's Glue (130-gm bottles) or glue sticks
80 stamp pads and 80 blue and/or black ink bottles
80 dater stamps
40 acrylic standees (8.5x11")
40 bulletin boards (at least 20x36") and 40 packs of bulletin board pins
40 pieces each red, blue, and black ballpens
40 pcs desk bells
40 boxes of mongol pencils #2
40 pencil sharpeners
40 small cans of white latex paint
40 (watercolor) paint brushes
40 fine (sharpee) pentel pens
120 sheets of sandpaper (when inquiring, please ask Anna about the coarse number)
