Jonathan Badon

Our parish celebrated the 2nd anniversary of its Stewardship Way of Life last September 22. Part of the get-together that evening for parishioners who have been supporting our thrust towards Stewardship was the performance of Mr. Jonathan Badon, a tenor, who is known as the Prince of Operatic Pop.

Jonathan Badon is a Bachelor of Music in Voice graduate from the University of the Philippines College of Music. He has a powerful voice and has been blessed with such great talent.

That night, he performed four numbers: O Sole Mio, a medley of Hollywood songs, You Raise Me Up (popularized again recently by the group Westlife), and Kalesa, by Ernani Cuenco. I enjoyed the medley and the song Kalesa, the most. It was also nice to see parishioners singing along with Jonathan and having such a fun time doing so.

(You'll find more of Jonathan Badon's videos in YouTube. His username is OperaticPop.)

After the affair, Jonathan and Ms. Veda Alonso were swamped with inquiries from the parishioners who were around. Yes, you may contract Mr. Badon to perform for your events and other special occasions like weddings, etc. You may reach Ms. Veda at +63 917 534 7527. Should you get in touch with them to inquire, we will appreciate it if you will let them know that you found out about them at viloria.com

So, still scrambling for tickets for the upcoming Josh Groban concert -- which they say has been sold out since months ago -- even at P3,000 or P20,000 per head? Maybe you can just listen to the Josh Groban CD and watch Jonathan Badon instead?

Update: If you wish to find out about Jonathan Badon's shows, please check our updated entry on his shows this October.
