SunTel Wireless Landline

SunTel Wireless Landline offers you unlimited landline calls for only P499/month.

With these unlimited calls, you also get unlimited talk time. Please note, though, that the "unlimited" offer applies only to local landline calls.

For other types of calls, here are the charges (prices subject to change without prior notice):

NDD - PhP 2/min
NDD International - PhP 5/min
Calls to Globe/SMART/Sun Cellular cell phones - PhP 6.50/min
IDD - $0.10/min
SMS (local) - PhP 1/message
SMS (international) - PhP 5/message

The service is initially offered in the National Capital Region (NCR), and comes with a 24-month holding period.

I'm using a basic landline handset, although you also have other phone options: Nokia 1208 and LG KP105.

The handset I've tried allows you to send SMS text messages, but I've only tried sending text messages to Sun Cellular phone numbers. You can plug your handset into the electric outlet, or you can run it on batteries for that "mobile" experience. Given the size of the handset, it's best kept on your desk.

I guess it's better to be called a deskset than a handset? Anyway, it's a "Huawei ETS GSM Series 3 fixed wireless terminal."

Typical landlines in the Philippines can cost you around P700/month (with no ability to send SMS text), so the P499/month package of SunTel Wireless Landline is quite affordable.

SunTel Wireless Landline is a service of Digital Telecommunications Phils., Inc (DIGITEL) and is powered by Sun Cellular.
