Ghosts and MV Princess of the Stars?People in Sibuyan are probably just imagining ghosts because they are just superstitious. Then again... Is it really possible for those who have gone on ahead of us to actually visit the living? Can ghosts or spirits reach out to relatives and loved ones? Can apparitions appear even in broad daylight? Well, the Inquirer.net says that Sibuyan folk claim eerie sounds, sights. If you recall the sinking of the MV Princess of the Stars near Sibuyan Island, Romblon, a lot of people perished at sea. I wonder, though, why the stories are all the same: People have sighted a lady in white, walking along the shoreline. Geez... I'm getting goosebumps just blogging about this here in Metro Manila. No wonder the Philippine Coast Guard personnel get that prickly feeling when they're stationed near the shore. It makes me wonder if Filipinos are just naturally superstitious, or if we're somehow more "sensitive" to things we can't readily see or explain. Anyway, let's just say a prayer for those who have departed from this world, and for the families they have left behind.
