Transcend SDHC Class 6 4GB SD Card - Corrupted

It was too good to be true. A 4GB SD card for less than P800. Unfortunately, the Transcend SDH Class 6 4GB SD Card got corrupted after just a few days.

We tried all sorts of data recovery programs: Zero Assumption Digital Recovery, Mediarecovery, and other software designed to recover corrupted SD cards. But nothing happened.

The SD could not be read by the camera, and neither could it be read by the PC or card reader. All we saw were a bunch of Memory Error messages, or Unable To Format (either the card is too big for FAT, or too small for FAT32).

Bottomline: We couldn't get any device to read the card, nor even format the removable media.

I should've first checked the web and did a search for: transcend 4gb sd card corrupt.

Next time, let's try searching first for [brandname] [capacity] SD card corrupt to see beforehand whether we should push through with our SD card purchase, or just look for something else. I'm quite disappointed with Transcend, though. How I wish their 4GB SD cards would perform as well as their 1GB SD card.
