Bahay Kubo: Philippine Folk SongLots of folks have been asking me about the Bahay Kubo or vegetable song. You'll find the Speak Tagalog Podcast: Bahay Kubo Episode, but that contains an enumeration of the different vegetables in the song. In other words, before we get to the part where Bahay Kubo is actually sung, we'll have to wait through a few more minutes of talking. What if a parent simply wants her children to hear the song and learn to sing it? Well, one parent asked me to send her a copy of the song, so that she could burn it on a CD and play it in the car. That way, her children can learn Bahay Kubo as they drive from place to place. The thing is, the file is about 1.15 MB large, and my email borks out at times.
