Convert MS Office to PDF via Firefox

You can easily convert your Word, Excel and Powerpoint files to PDF with the help of Firefox.

LOOP for Firefox is an add-on that allows you to quickly convert web pages to PDF. With the help of the "Add File" button, you can easily convert your MS Word documents, MS Excel spreadsheets, or MS Powerpoint presentations to PDF.

To unencrypted PDF files, that is.

If you want to produce password-protected PDFs, you'll need the pro version of LOOP.

So, if you would like to easily create PDF files from within your MS Office application, and if the prospect of waiting for the huge download of OpenOffice doesn't appeal to the impatient persona in you, then check out the tiny 106KB LOOP Firefox Add-on today!

UPDATE: After you install LOOP, you'll need to create a free account at DrawLoop.com (the window will appear on the left side of your screen after you restart Firefox). I noticed that when you convert the webpage you're reading into PDF (via the "Add URL" button), the hyperlinks are no longer clickable. The photos do look crisp, though.

If all you're after is a non-clickable PDF version of your webpage or MS Office file, then LOOP is a good PDF converter alternative.
