HappySlip: A Filipina YouTube Star

Fresh from the LonelyGirl15 incident, some YouTubers are wondering if another rising YouTube star is for real.

Christine is a Filipina YouTuber (nickname: HappySlip) who has a website at HappySlip.com

The origin of that website's name is so Rex Navarrete. :-)

Anyway, in response to people wondering if there's a company behind her (similar to LonelyGirl15), Christine posts a video about her rejected audition to be LG15:

I'm guessing she grew up in the States, although there's something so Filipino about her. If Jakob Nielsen believes that Talking-Head Video Is Boring Online, he probably hasn't watched Filipinos who use their entire face when communicating.

(Is it just me or does she remind you of Jean Garcia?)

On the technical side: If you're wondering why her YouTube videos are clear, try uploading your videos as mp4 or mov files. I'll be experimenting in the following days. Yes, YouTube says upload 320x240 15fps videos, but I'll try uploading 640x480 videos since the ones shown at YT are 425x350.
