Homework Helper Sites in the Philippines

Some Filipino parents are creating homework helper sites online.

Green and White Movement
"The intention behind this blogsite is to share various information collected by the members of the group to other La Salle Greenhills parents. This would include assignments, schedules and announcements from the school administrator and faculty."

[2006-July-10 Update: Looks like the G&W Movement blog owner elected to delete their WordPress blog. I wonder why. Anyway, here's the cached copy of the G&W Movement Homework Helper site.]

For example, some grade school students are taking up tambalan or compound words in their Filipino class. While the G&W Movement blog does have an entry on that topic, I wish someone would give an example of a compound word that contains tawa, the Tagalog word for laughter.

Anyway, it looks like Pinoy parents are reeling under the strain of office workload and household study loads. I'm surprised with the amount of homework mothers, I mean, our children are subjected to nowadays. No wonder some parents have resorted to building web sites whose content is centered around grade school material.

(I checked, and there does not seem to be any Ateneo Homework Help for Parents web site... yet.)

Have you spotted any homework helper sites lately? Please let me know. You'll find my email address below. Thanks!
