Gmail Blocked by Pacific Internet?

If you tried to email someone @pacific.net.ph and got a bounced error message, you might have tried sending mail from your GMail account.

[an error occurred while processing this directive]

Here's a snippet of the bounced email message:

Technical details of permanent failure:
PERM_FAILURE: SMTP Error (state 8):
554 5.7.1 Rejected
72.14.214.205 found in dnsbl.sorbs.net

And this is what appears in the SORBS Database of servers sending to spamtrap addresses:

Address: 72.14.214.205
Record Created: Tue May 23 06:02:24 2006 GMT
Record Updated: Sat Jun 10 16:00:59 2006 GMT
Additional Information: Received: from hu-out-0102.google.com (hu-out-0102.google.com [72.14.214.205]) by desperado.sorbs.net (Postfix) with ESMTP id 7FC8D114E6 for <[email]>; Sun, 11 Jun 2006 01:14:34 +1000 (EST)

So, if you're trying to email someone at Pacific Internet, try using a different email account (i.e. Yahoo mail).

(I hope Google's GMail IP address gets delisted from the SORBS list soon...)
