WordPress Sitemaps

Here's a quick and easy way to create a sitemap in WordPress.

Since a fresh installation of WordPress comes with a category marked "Uncategorized", simply mark every post as Uncategorized. Actually, since that's the default for every new post you will write, simply avoid un-checking that box.

Once you tag every post in your blog (you can choose more than one category per post) as Uncategorized, each page in your site will be one click away from the comprehensive list of all your entries.

Voila! Instant sitemap for WordPress.

What's so great about a sitemap anyway? Well, according to various SEO gurus, sitemaps help search engine robots spider your site faster. These bots won't get lost since they can easily find the ins and outs of your site via that sitemap.
