More than a year ago, I wrote about Pinoy video blogger Minic Rivera. For some reason, his site has disappeared. If you know where he went off to, please let me know.
Fortunately, video blogging is alive and well (and like how!) in Filipino Video Blogger Jon's Isn't It Ironic?, a blog by a thirty-something Pinoy living in the brrrrr-y cold country of Canada.
Jon Barros uploads his videos in DailyMotion, and displays them at his Blogspot site with the help of a flash player. So, if you've been thinking of streaming your videos on your blog but were worried about where to store those large files, try DailyMotion.
Similar to YouTube, DailyMotion allows you to tag your videos with certain keywords. This way, other people in the DM network can easily find your file, especially if it is related to their own videos. What a conveniently easy way to increase your viewership!
At Jon's site, you'll find around four videos available on his homepage. I like the way he weaves text and music into his tasteful home-made movies.
True, a picture may be worth a thousand you-know-what's. But moving photos not only tell you much more. They also make you feel what it must be like to be in that other person's world.
