Shut Down Pilipino.org.phThat's what Administration congressmen have asked the National Telecommunications Commission to do. According to the Philippine Star (31 Jan 2006, p.4), two congressmen (here's why I no longer show their names on this web page) want Faeldon's web site shut down because "state security is being openly challenged". They want the government to disable the site so that Faeldon supporters cannot use it to "inflame and misinform they people and the military". Whoa. Can any web site affect the political will of Filipinos? If the NTC does succeed in shutting down the Pilipino.org.ph site, what's to prevent those maintaining the site from opening a site elsewhere, say, in Blogspot? Anyway, they might not have to shut the site down. It looks like Pilipino.org.ph has exceeded its bandwidth limit, so you can't view its contents at all.
