What happens when there are people beside you while making your podcast?

You can pass a microphone around. You can also place it on top of a round table, and have the two or three podcasters gather around it. Or you can check out the hardware in a home studio set-up for podcasting.

Or you can try Steve Lacey's podcast setup, where you can plug-in additional microphones, remove the background or ambient room noise, tone down your sibilant s's, and minimize those p-p-p-popping air sounds that come before words like "podcast".
