Crazy Sisa Declamation Piece

Someone is looking for a declamation piece of Sisa, a character in Jose Rizal's Noli Me Tangere, for their Christmas party.

[an error occurred while processing this directive]

I asked my friends if they knew of any monologue involving insane or baliw Sisa, and got a piece delivered in grade school.

Oh, it's almost Christmas, and my husband...
my irresponsible husband, is over there with his bottle of wine.
My son Crispin is still in the kumbento,
and Basilio...

I don't know what's going to happen to our Christmas...

Crispin... Basilio... Where my are my children..? Crispiiiin... Basiliooooo...

(laughter, soft at first and then slowly getting louder and crazier)

(sudden silence)

I see Crispin... what's that on his forehead? It's... it's... blood...

(Sisa bows her head and slowly crumples to the ground)

That's it. It's short and perfect for gradeschoolers who don't like memorizing long declamation pieces. While it is short, the student has to wow her classmates with the deranged laughter, the tears, the blank stare, and the hint of some leftover lucidity.

You might wish to modify it and add more details to Sisa's monologue. Things like the supper which she prepared for her sons which her husband ate up, or the bad dream of Basilio.

I was planning to upload a sample recording, but my version of maniacal laughter sounded like the late comedian Bert "Tawa" Marcelo, so scratch that idea. I must remember to delete that mp3 soon.

(Does anyone out there have the script of the Sisa played by Mia Ongkiko many years ago? Please let me know. Thanks!)
