Seventies Party CostumeLast week, we had a groovy get together as people arrived in seventies party costumes. I was surprised. I didn't expect their 70s retro clothes to look rather brand new. Some of them got their outfits in Avenida (Manila). Others went through some ukay-ukay stores. Yet others mixed-and-matched party wigs with their modern clothes. The afros looked quite cute. ![]() I feel that the 70s was such a gentle era. The people who revisited that time in our past looked decades younger that December evening. No, it wasn't the make-up, nor the costume wigs, nor the funky retro pants and vintage paisley designs. It was something they've kept inside all these years: their memories.
