SMART Unlimited SMS Texting

The long wait is over for cell phone owners who have been asking about unlimited SMS texts from SMART.

[an error occurred while processing this directive]

From October 20 to November 16, 2005 all prepaid brands on the Smart network can enjoy unlimited sms texts (local Smart to Smart texts only). Regular rates apply for texts to other networks, as well as to MMS and VAS downloads.

Unlimited text offers in general may cause heavy network traffic due to the demand for the service.

P15 Unlimited Texts for 1 Day

To register, type 15 and send to 258 (between 9AM to 5PM and 11PM to 6AM only)

You will receive a confirmation message of your registration. You may send unlimited sms text to other Smart subscribers for 1 day.

To enjoy SMART 258 Text Reload, your account must have a maintaining balance of at least P1.00 after registration and during the 1-day (text) period.

P30 Unlimited Texts for 2 days

To register, type 30 and send to 258 (again, only between 9AM - 5PM, and 11PM - 6AM)

P60 Unlimited Texts for 4 days

To register, type 60 and send to 258 (registration is allowed only 9AM - 5PM, and 11PM 6AM)

Do you want to avoid heavy network traffic?

P30 Unlimited Off-Peak Texts for 2 days
(Plus 40 free texts during peak hours (outside 11PM to 6AM)

To register, type 30OFFPK and send to 258 (registration may be done anytime... whew!)

You will receive a confirmation message of your registration. You may then send unlimited sms texts to other Smart subscribers during off-peak hours (11PM to 6AM) for 2 days. You will also receive 40 free Smart-to-Smart text messages (expires in 2 days), that you can use during peak hours (6:01AM to 10:59PM)

I wonder why PLDT SMART is using a keyword that has zero (0) and the capital letter "O" next to each other. That can be confusing. If a person texts the wrong keyword to 258, will there be some kind of charge?

Looks like SMART is giving the market what it wants (unlimited texts) while acknowledging the effects of heavy network traffic. Thank you, Sun Cellular, for starting the trend.
