Edit Documents Simultaneously Online

Have you ever gotten tired of editing an MS Word document, emailing it to a colleague for their suggestions or corrections, waiting for it to get emailed back to you, and so on and so forth? Well, you can edit documents simultaneously online.

[an error occurred while processing this directive]

There are online services available today that allow you to edit "MS Word" documents on the web. The files are stored on their servers, and you are able to dictate who may have access to those files.

This way, even if you don't have your laptop with you, as long as you can get on the internet, you can manage those files of yours. Along with your colleagues, your group or team can collaborate and whip out a group-created document in less time because you no longer have to waste time moving documents back and forth.

I don't know about other countries but in the Philippines, a typical scenario would involve one person in front of a keyboard, an Infocus projector displaying the Word document on a screen, and people around a table giving their inputs or corrections verbally. The one typist then makes the corrections in real-time.

That somehow sounds more practical and more manageable to me.

If, however, you don't mind having four people edit different parts of the same document at the same time, then check out these online collaboration services today:
1. JSpot Live
2. Basecamp
3. Writely
4. WriteBoad
