Nutrition Facts and McDonald's
I've recently wondered about the nutrition facts of my favorite McDo meals. The wrappers don't seem to have any such info, but I found some info online.
Quarter Pounder With Cheese - Saturated Fat tips in at 65% of your Daily Value, Cholesterol at 32%, Sodium at 52%
Oreo McFlurry - one serving gives you 23% of your Daily Value for Cholesterol, 59% for Saturated Fat, 12% for Sodium.
French Fries - no cholesterol? (Sat fat at 9%, Sodium at 6%)
McChicken - Sat fat comes in at 23%, cholesterol 15%, sodium 35%
Argh. Looks like I'll have to say goodbye to my fave combination of Quarter Pounder, McFlurry and Fries (Sat Fat = 133% of DV, Cholesterol = 55%, Sodium = 70%)
Anyone know of a healthier alternative that's easy to get hold of and which doesn't cost too much? I'm all ears...
