Ultimate Powerpoint TipsIf you've been putting text and bullet points in your Powerpoint presentations, it's time to change. Giving a presentation is a highly stressful event. No wonder a lot of speakers minimize this feeling of dread by putting lots of text and bullet points in their Powerpoint slides to keep them from getting lost. Unfortunately, your audience will fall asleep, tune out or will probably just wait for the handouts. It would be better if you prepare your presentation in MS Word, print that out as a comprehensive handout to be given at the end of your presentation, and then just populate your Powerpoint slides with images or photographs that will touch the emotions of your listeners. For examples of minimalist slides, check out Presentation Zen (link via Seth Godin) (Now if only we can find a way to boost the confidence of speakers...)
