Yahoo Stops Spammers

If you've tried sending outgoing mail from Yahoo, you'll come face to face with captcha.

This happens if your outgoing message has many web site URLs or if it triggers some email alarms in Yahoo. The page will show you some kind of distorted image of letters and numbers which you have to type into a box.

If you are unable to decipher what the string of letters and numbers is, your message is not sent out.

I experimented and created a simple message which did not contain any web site addresses, and one which contained three addresses. Those were delivered without subjecting me to the captcha challenge.

So, if you're sending out regular emails, don't worry about getting bogged down by the "guess what letters and numbers are on the screen" challenge. Hopefully, this development will help improve the image of Yahoo.
