Sun Cellular launches IDD Top 5 (20 cents per minute). Here are the mechanics:

IDD Top 5 offers US$0.20 IDD rate per minute for every call made only to the US (Mainland only; IDD calls to Hawaii, Alaska, US Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico are not included in this promo offer), China, Hong Kong, Singapore and Taiwan.

Calls ouside the 5 destinations mentioned above will be charged the regular application IDD rate.

Sun Cellular will use the Peso equivalent of the US$0.20 IDD rate per minute following the NTC prescribed peso-dollar exchange rate issued at the beginning of the transaction month.

For POSTPAID subscribers only

For postpaid subscribers, all calls made to the five destinations will be automatically charged the US$0.20 per minute rate starting on the 1st minute of the call and will be reflected in the Statement of Account (SOA) during the promo duration.

For PREPAID subscribers only

IDD Top 5 load credit balance will be reflected in minutes. a PhP100.00 IDD Top 5 load will provide approximately nine (9) minutes of IDD credit (subject to prescribed FOREX rate) with a validity period of seven (7) days starting from the day you load it to your prepaid account.

If you use up your IDD Top 5 load credit during a call, the call will be automatically terminated even if you have regular load in your account. If you have sufficient regular load and wish to continue your IDD call, you may dial again. The regular rates per minute, however, will apply.

Your IDD Top 5 load cannot be converted to any other Sun Cellular load (regular or other reload variants). It cannot be used for calls other than the IDD Top 5 destinations and for other voice and SMS transactions.

Any unused/remaining IDD Top 5 load credt in your prepaid account at the end of the promo period will remain valid and may still be used until fully consumed or until the lapse of the seven (7) day validity period, whichever comes first.

After the promo period, any IDD Top 5 call card which has not been loaded into an account will automatically be converted to Php100 word of 24/7 Call and Text Unlimited reload, with the corresponding seven (7) day validity period from date of loading.

Postpaid and prepaid subscribers may purchase IDD Top 5 load for their relatives, friends and loved ones with Sun Cellular prepaid subscription by doing any of the following transactions:
