Lose Weight With The McDonald's Diet

Yes, someone managed to lose weight by eating the food served in McDonald's.

Merab Morgan ate three daily meals in McDonald's for 90 days and ended up losing 37 pounds. She successfully dieted by monitoring her caloric intake (no more than 1,400 calories daily).

What's the lesson here? Twist a concept.

People usually think of fastfood joints as places where you will only gain weight. Well, twist the concept and think: How can I lose weight in such a place?

Here's another twist: PepsiCo launched low-fat flavored milk beverages called Quaker Milk Chillers. When you think of Pepsi you think of carbonated drinks. Well, twist it and think of non-carbonated beverages.

So what marketing twist can you do? Take your own web site, for example. Instead of just talking about yourself, your company, your history, products or services, try talking about others.

Like whom? Talk about the people who visit your web site. Feature your readers. Have a fun day with them, video it, and put it online. Talk to them, record it and produce an mp3 file (with their permission, of course), and post it online.

The days of the "about me" web sites are coming to an end. It's time to focus more on your site visitors.

The next time you're blocked by the wall of the familiar, think of Merab Morgan and the shed 37 pounds and twist it!
