Falling Tree Smashes Toyota WindshieldThis morning at around 6:20, I heard something falling outside my window. At first, I thought my neighbor's roof fell. After a few minutes, someone knocked at my door. Kuya, ang kotse... (The car...) Anong bumagsak sa kotse? (What fell on the car?) Tingnan na lang po ninyo... (Have a look yourself.) It was raining moderately hard last night, so that probably loosened the soil. Add the fact that the tree had a rotten inside and you get this: ![]() Argh! The tree looked alive and healthy. I didn't think it would keel over like that. Fortunately, no one was hurt. On the bright side, lots of people came to help. I even got to meet someone who knows his stuff when it comes to pest or termite control.
