Start of the Monsoon Season

The monsoon season has started in the Philippines. It rained a lot this morning, and some parts of Manila are already flooded. The Tumana (?) Bridge in Marikina was already impassable as early as 6:00 this morning.

There's no storm signal, and yet we have flooding.

I wonder what will happen now that the rules have changed. Before, grade school students did not have to go to school if Storm Signal No. 1 was raised. Now, it has to be Storm Signal No. 2 before grade school students can rejoice and stay at home.

I dunno. Maybe students should have classes during summer, and have their break during the rainy season? ;-) (Just kidding!)
