How To Sort Excel Cells From Left To Right

Someone asked: "How do I sort cells from left to right in Excel?" Normally, our spreadsheet data is arranged under one column, and we sort from top to bottom. But what if the data is on one row (i.e., A1, B1, C1, D1)?

I tried look for the solution in the Excel menu, but didn't find any. Maybe you can first arrange your left-to-right data under one column using the Excel Transpose command, sort that column of data, then re-transpose the sorted column back into a single row of data.

UPDATE: Thank you, Jaimie, for sending in the solution --

Click a cell in the list you want to sort.
On the Data menu, click Sort.
Click Options.
Under Orientation, click Sort left to right, and then click OK.
In the Sort by and Then by boxes, click the rows you want to sort.
