Are China DVD Players Better Than Branded Ones?

If you're thinking of getting a DVD player, but the cost of branded players gives your pocket that cool, windy feeling, you might be tempted to go for generic DVD players. But is it worth it? Are made-in-China DVD players more durable than branded ones?
