Bandwidth Theft

Bandwidth Theft happens wittingly or unwittingly when someone displays on their web site an image found on your web site. It is theft because you pay for the data transferred, but another web site "benefits" because they can spruce up their web page with your image file... for free. This practice is also called hotlinking.

Connie offers tips: Is someone stealing your bandwidth?

Paulo writes about IMG Stealers. Check out the dancing banana! =)

Some web hosts provide CPANEL, which allows you to easily prevent hotlinking. That's probably the less stressful path, IMHO.
