Passing Time In A Funeral

I attended the wake of a cousin-in-law last night. Not only did I pass some time there, I actually saw the passing of time.

I saw the toddlers of cousins, although they are not toddlers anymore. The other kids are now teens, the teens young adults, and the young adults now starting families of their own. The thin yatot boys are heavier hunks, and their dads are now building more muscle.

Gym equipment (bench, inclined bench press, lat pull down, leg curl, complete barbell and dumb bell sets) that cost a fortune in the past, now "sold" for just P1,500 (about US$27).

Time passes. Quickly. Even moreso when we're not looking closely enough.

It's strange how many years can fly by in just 47 minutes.
