FPJ vs GMA?As the year 2004 draws near, the possibility of Fernando Poe, Jr. (FPJ) winning the Philippine Presidential Elections begins to frighten some people. Who cares if Arroyo wins over FPJ at Googlefight? Afterall, that's just the web, and we all know the Philippines is not the worldwide web. So the battle turns to email... Have you received email that shows various scenarios of what might happen if FPJ wins? Scary stuff, both for FPJ and the Philippines. Fortunately, there have also been some "less serious" emails. A relative emailed me (subject line: HOW GMA IS GOING TO WIN IN 2004) an image of what a winning (for Gloria Macapagal Arroyo) poster might look like. Maybe it's some kind of response to the perceived popularity of FPJ. The photo shows Maui Taylor with a digitally-enhanced facial mole. I was tempted to post it here, but since this is a "family site" (Hi, Angel!), I won't. Anyway, I like the way whoever created the photo juxtaposed Maui Taylor over a stylized Philippine flag. I just don't understand the text found over the red part of the flag: "BLIM PENG WAY" Does anyone know what BLIM PENG WAY means? (I wonder what messages will spread via text once this email flow dries up...)
