Goodbye, Sir RAL...He passed away this morning at around 4am. He, this tall Philippinized golfer, who some mistake for a South American, who probably is a New Yorker. He, who lived here in the Philippines for some 30 years, and never did get around to speaking Pilipino fluently. He, who looks so foreign outside, yet is truly a Filipino at heart. I guess he's like a candy called Dynamite Choco-Mint -- white and hard on the outside, soft and brown on the inside. I don't know how old he is. Probably in his late 60s. But if he kept a blog or an online journal, these are probably some of the things he would've written: - Drive fast on the South Superhighway Sir RAL, we'll all miss you. I don't know if they play golf in heaven. Although I'm sure you'll be keeping an eye on the electric bills up there. Previous Entry Secondthoughts Index Next Entry
