Cuentos Y Recuerdos

Cuentos Y Recuerdos is a book containing more than 50 inspiring stories of service and the Povedan spirit. On December 3, 2012, Monday, St. Pedro Poveda College will be celebrating St. Pedro Poveda's birthday with a mass at 5pm at the Poveda chapel and a book launch of Cuentos Y Recuerdos after.

The book contains stories written by our hermanas, Povedan employees, parents, friends and by Teresianas. I was happy to contribute a story or a cuento to this collection of stories for a good cause.

All book sale proceeds will go to Poveda's social action projects, college scholarship funds, and a disaster risk emergency fund for Poveda's partner communities. If you are still looking for meaningful Christmas gifts this year, you may want to consider buying a copy or copies of this book. You can get each book at a pre-selling price of P500.00 per book (before December 3). Regular price from December 3 and onwards is at P750.00 per copy.

Please buy the book and better yet, if you are a Povedan, please come on December 3. It will be good to revisit the school and renew ties with the Povedan community as we celebrate the spirit of service and generous hearts. After all, as St. Pedro Poveda once said (and this is one of my favorite stewardship quotations): "You don't need to be rich in order to give. It is enough to be good. He who is good will always find something to give."
