A Matter of Perspective

School is out in the Philippines. One weekend, I was talking to my two teen-aged nephews and inquired about what they were doing this summer.

The older one replied: "Nothing. Playing Xbox." My other nephew responded soon after: "Enjoying life..."

Well, doing nothing and playing do make for an enjoyable life so I guess there's no conflict there. I was just taken aback by the words that my other nephew used and he did look genuinely happy when he said it.

So, what are you doing now? It is all a matter of perspective. From time to time, we all really do need to relax, sit back, do nothing, play and enjoy life.
