Last Week for Textula Contest; Noi Wins Again

This is the e-mail message that I got from web friend, Noi: "May bagong pa-kontest ang NCCA. Textulang Pinoy. SAWIKAIN tungkol sa pag-galang/pagmamahal/pangangalaga sa kalikasan. Dalawang linyang tig-wawalong pantig. Send entries to 0927-9245242. Sali uli tayo, baka palarin."

Have had no such luck yet but Noi has won (several times) in the past weeks. One of his winning entries, I particularly like: "Kagubata'y hindi buhok na may peluka sa panot." This was inspired by some people he knew -- lacking in hair but not on concern for the environment. In writing, one really just has to look around to find inspiration or to get that spark that will get your writing going.

Major prize per week is P5,000 while consolation prize is at P2,000. Good luck to all of us.
