Child Book Review 4: The Tiny Seed by Eric Carle

WHAT IS IT ABOUT? The book follows the journey of a tiny seed (among faster, bigger, higher-flying seeds)up until the time that it grows into a big beautiful flower and produces tiny seeds again.

WHAT'S GOOD ABOUT THIS BOOK? Kids will learn about the different seasons. They can get familiar with nature -- different weather conditions and the effect of these on seeds, various land and sea forms.

WHAT DO OUR KIDS LEARN? The book shows us that we all have our own paths to follow. It does not matter if we fly lower, are smaller, or slower -- we all have our own fortunes. There is a benefit to everything and some things really take time. If we but follow the natural course of things, we shall all bloom into big beautiful creatures and the cycle of life always, thankfully, goes on no matter what.
