It’s easier to remember phrases when there’s some cultural background given along with them- when you give a ’softer’ way of expressing something, for instance. Then it’s easier to make a mental association with the phrase. Keep up the good work!

I wouldn’t say I’d “rather” learn from podcasts- it’s just the most convenient! Luckily, in these days of ‘hands-free’ cellphones, one doesn’t look like a lunatic talking to oneself in the car! Probably combining all the methods would be most productive. I have the ‘Rosetta Stone’ software, and it’s pretty good. Salamat for the new podcasts!

Glad to see u back, Manuel! Learn tagalog podcasts are getting scarce… still the best way for the busy person to learn. I have software but hard to find time. I’ve taken to recording audio off Pinoy youTube videos and transfering it to my mp3 player…

[From Manuel] Thanks, Dan! Interesting to know you’d rather learn Tagalog using your mp3 player than your computer. What about web-based Tagalog lessons, where you click on individual buttons that play specific phrases? Would you prefer that? Or is it better to just listen to an entire multi-phrase podcast on your mp3 player?

hello, im half Philipina and half Italian and can speak none.. was born and raised in England with me parents and my sister.
My mum is actually in philipines now and is coming back 18 january.
i really want to learn tagalog fluently.. and i guess your helping…
but it is a bit hard to learn at the moment as i am at high school and have a lot of studying.
keep it up!!
