Samsung Galaxy S3 and Grocery List

I wanted to try out an Android app on the Samsung Galaxy S3.

[an error occurred while processing this directive]

So I tried out the "Out of Milk" grocery list app.

At first it was interesting because I could:

  • Record the bar code of a grocery item just by taking a photo of it.

  • Remember the history of products purchased.

  • Easily strike out items already purchased.

  • Quickly rearrange grocery items in the list.

But then, I had a hard time pushing the heavy grocery cart while holding the Samsung Galaxy S3 in one hand.

I had to repeatedly put the smartphone in my pocket, then push the cart more easily with two hands.

So it looks like I'll be going back to the old small sheet of ad cube paper for my grocery list. Anyway, since there are less than 12 items on that list, the simple sheet of paper will do.

And although I have now uninstalled the Out of Milk app, there will still be a future opportunity to use such a tool.

Perhaps when I get someone else to push the grocery cart for me. :-)
